For the better part of a decade Adam Keilbach, aka Hotwax, has been producing soft, lush excursions at the cross-section of chillwave and downtempo. Over the years he’s honed this sound with releases on labels such as Vacant Magic, Elemental_97, Synth Records, 2060, SleeplessCollective, & Bad Pop. Each one is a step further into spacious synth sounds and crystalline rhythms.

His latest offering, the first for Image Research, brings together 5 tracks bursting with light and energy. Massive chord stylings set the backdrop for each track as crescendo arps and crisp drums fill the room. Vast and pensive pads meet airy textures as we soar above the clouds. Music fit for deep meditation, a walk on a summer’s day, or the neon-lit hours of the afterparty. Sunlight hitting a distant horizon, mist rising above a diamond ocean.
